On December 5, Volunteer Day was celebrated - a holiday established by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 27, 2017. The holiday aims to draw public attention to such an important matter as gratuitous assistance for the benefit of society. Volunteer Day can be considered a holiday by anyone who helps people free of charge, sparing no effort and time.
In honor of the holiday, a solemn event was held in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which was attended by Valery Sinkov, Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod Region; Petr Bannikov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region; Alexey Shikanov, a veteran of the fire department, chairman of the Public Council of the GU; GU personnel, as well as invited guests from volunteer and volunteer organizations organizations of Nizhny Novgorod and the region and volunteer firefighters.
In a solemn atmosphere, the most distinguished volunteers were awarded Letters of Thanks from the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, medals of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia "For the Commonwealth in the name of Salvation" and "For the promotion of rescue work", as well as Letters of Thanks from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Among the awardees are representatives of Ruspolimet JSC and Grankom LLC. Svetlana VLASKOVA, a leading specialist in fire prevention at Ruspolimet JSC, was awarded a Letter of Thanks from the Government of the region signed by Governor G.S.Nikitin for her great contribution to the development of volunteerism in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
- Volunteers are responsible and caring people whose noble work deserves great respect, - says Svetlana Vlaskova. - At the solemn event, many kind words were said to them, the work of not only the volunteers of our district, but also the volunteers of search and rescue teams of the entire region was noted. The evening ended with a festive concert of the vocal and instrumental group "Phoenix" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Daria CHUKHNINA, a fire prevention specialist of the 1st category of the RPC JSC Ruspolimet, was awarded for her active civic position and personal contribution to the protection of the population of the Nizhny Novgorod region from natural and man-made emergencies.
- Since our volunteer fire brigade is part of the general garrison of the Kulebaki city fire department and our employees make a great contribution to the prevention of fires on the territory of the enterprise, representations were sent to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region for two of our specialists, - comments V.A.ILYICHEV, head of the RPC of Ruspolimet JSC. - The submissions have been reviewed and we have received a positive response. On the eve of the holiday, a solemn event was held in Nizhny Novgorod, where S.V. Vlaskova and D.A.Chukhnina were awarded thanks.
