On March 25, in Nizhny Novgorod, the exporting companies discussed support measures and ways to solve difficulties they face at the export council, headed by Deputy Governor Andrei Sanosyan. Representatives of major Nizhny Novgorod-based exporting companies attended, including Yulia Alimova, Head of Export Sales at Ruspolymet Metallurgical Plant.
While opening the Council, the Deputy Governor noted that today's conditions require maximum teamwork. The experts from the regional government spoke about business support measures introduced at the federal and regional levels. Specifically, an import and import substitution centre has been set up in the Nizhny Novgorod region to assist the plants in acquiring the necessary components.
"Today, practically on a daily basis, the federal government and the regional government take new decisions aimed at solving the problems of our plants. At the Council, we first of all explained to the companies what support measures can be used and what mechanisms exist for solving logistical problems. We have also received feedback from the companies so that we can continue to develop the necessary set of support measures," Maksim Cherkasov, the Head of Nizhny Novgorod Regional Ministry of Industry.
Yulia Alimova said that Ruspolymet is not going to stop developing exports, and that the information provided would help in solving the difficulties that arise.
"Issues discussed included logistics, currency risks, lending as well as additional instruments for financing the plants. This is very important for us because Ruspolymet PJSC is a dynamically developing company, and we plan to increase export sales in the future as well, and we do it every year. Therefore, of course, we will work with the export centre and the regional government to resolve all issues that may arise," stated the company's representative.
